Fritz – Owner and Instructor
Born in Haiti, Fritz lived in a small community with his family, where he completed his schooling. In 2008, his brother invited him to the Dominican Republic, when he began working in Las Terrenas.
Later, he met a Frenchman, Leif Leiriche, the first kitesurfing instructor in the Dominican Republic. Leiriche offered Fritz his first regular job in Las Terrenas and gave him kitesurfing lessons so that he could build a better future for himself.
After 5 years working in Leif’s kite school, Leif helped Fritz build the first hotel and kitesurf school in Haiti. In 2017, Fritz takes the kite instructor course offered by KiteWorld for the first time in Las Terrenas; the first official kiteschool in Las Terrenas which offered a new method of teaching kitesurfing.
As the crisis in Haiti worsened, Fritz returned to the Dominican Republic, since 2019 Fritz started working for LTkite, Rushmore y Kiteworld. Now in 2023 he has started his own kitesurfing school; where he teaches kitesurfing courses in Spanish, Haitian creole, French and English, and seeks to share his passion and love for kitesurfing.
He is also an expert in kite repair, with his favorite phrase being “nothing is impossible”.
